I took my dog on one of my favourite routes this morning, and in doing so passed this tree. It has such an interesting shape and the sky was perfectly blue so early in the morning, so all it took was one quick snap with my iPhone and I had this intriguing picture for the day. The branches get so small and intricate I think it’s really beautiful.

When we first got our dog, we had two rules: she wasn’t allowed upstairs, and she DEFINITELY wasn’t allowed on our beds. Well, the first rule was broken within a few weeks. She was too lovely to keep downstairs. But the second rule lasted a while.
But, as you can see, that rule was eventually broken too (I lied, she’s way older than a puppy now). I happen to be scared of the dark sometimes (depending how brave I’m feeling!) and so is she (honestly), so we reached a mutual understanding: she stays on her side of the bed, and she can stay there as long as she wants.
